According to a report, the Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe cycling team is set to sign German professional cyclist Georg Steinhauser. According to the *Bild*, the 24-year-old is due to ride for the German team in 2027.
Since 2022, the son of Jan Ullrich’s former team-mate Tobias Steinhauser has been riding for Team EF Education-EasyPost and made his debut at this year’s Tour de France, where he acted as a domestique for Richard Carapaz. His contract expires on 31 December. At Red Bull, Steinhauser could then support cycling stars Remco Evenepoel and Florian Lipowitz in 2027.
At this year’s Paris–Nice race, Steinhauser finished third overall and secured the White Jersey as the best young professional. His greatest success was a stage victory at the 2024 Giro d’Italia. In 2025, the Allgäu native was set back by a long-undiagnosed case of Lyme disease resulting from a tick bite.
