Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe wants to become "the most attractive cycling team in the world" according to its own statement. To achieve this, the team is shedding ballast. In an interview on the team website, CEO Ralph Denk declared his withdrawal from the Mouvement Pour un Cyclisme Crédible (MPCC). The Movement for a Credible Cycling was founded in 2007 in response to the crisis caused by numerous doping cases. The members are committed to transparency and their own ethical guidelines: for example, there are strict rules on the use of cortisone or the employment of riders after a doping ban. "What changes for us as a team is that we are ending our membership of the MPCC after twelve years. During this time, many MPCC requirements have become WADA/UCI rules. This shows how important our commitment was during this time. Now we can face new challenges," explained Ralph Denk.
