Berlin (dpa) - Professional cyclist Simon Geschke has found a new racing team. The 34-year-old Berlin native will ride for the French team Cofidis in the coming season.
"Yes! I'm already looking forward to 2021. I'm happy to be part of this team soon," the veteran announced on Twitter. His previous racing team CCC will cease operations at the end of the season.
His new employer is looking forward to welcoming the stage winner of the 2015 Tour de France: "Welcome @simongeschke. At 34, the German rider has great experience at the highest level from which the entire team will benefit," tweeted Team Cofidis.
