How much money is there for the World Championship title and how much are the medal bonuses at the 2019 World Cycling Championships in Yorkshire? All about the prize money in our overview.

239,250 euros - that's how much prize money was awarded in total at the 2019 Road World Championships in Yorkshire. By far the biggest prize money was awarded in the mixed relay, which was held for the first time: at 167,00 euros, more than half of the UCI prize money was paid out after the first competition. 58,500 euros was secured by the victorious team from the Netherlands, while the second-placed Germans received 33,500 euros.

Curious: In the team time trial there was prize money up to tenth place, but in all the individual competitions only the first three riders could earn anything. The winners of the individual time trials received 4,000 euros each, while the winners of the elite road races received 7750 euros each. In the junior classes, the prize money is even lower. Marco Brenner, bronze medallist in the junior time trial, will go home with a meagre 250 euros.
