Lance Armstrong
A burglar in Texas has received a lenient sentence for stealing six bicycles belonging to Lance Armstrong.
In December 2023, he stole the bikes worth more than 100,000 US dollars from a storage unit in Austin, Texas. One of the stolen bikes was a Trek Madone with SRAM Red from 2010.
An auction at which an Armstrong bike fetched 50,000 US dollars was used as a comparative value. The court sentenced the thief to "community supervision" - he must report to his community at fixed intervals. He must also complete 100 hours of community service.
