The Astana Qazaqstan Team bikes at the start of stage 2 of the 2023 Tour de France
The Astana Qazaqstan Team is apparently looking to change sponsors when it comes to wheels.
After some riders were already riding on wheels from the US manufacturer HED on the first stage of the Tour de France 2023, the entire team will be using them on the second stage. The stickers on the rims are also already in the typical Astana turquoise colour.
Tour de France 2023: Corima wheel sponsor for Astana Qazaqstan Team
Corima is actually the team's wheel sponsor, and many of the spare wheels on the team vehicles are still fitted with rims from the French manufacturer. Corima is also still listed as an official partner on the team's website.
Such a major change in the middle of the season is rather unusual, and team employees did not want to comment on the change of material when asked by TOUR.
