At the end of May, Italian gear manufacturer Campagnolo presented its new Super Record Wireless electronic groupset. The French team AG2R is equipped with Campagnolo components for the 2023 Tour de France, but the new groupset still seems to be rare.

Campagnolo Super Record Wireless only ridden by two professionals

Only two riders, Ben O'Connor and Benoit Cosnefroy, can be happy about the new gears. Both of them have also fitted them to their spare bikes. All other team-mates have to make do with the wired twelve-speed version.

However, Cosnefroy and O'Connor do not ride the complete groupset: as there is no power meter for the new crankset yet, an older crankset with a Power2Max sensor is fitted to their racing bikes. Side effect: The chainrings are larger; with the smaller sprockets of the new wireless groupset, the gear range shifts upwards.
