Öschelbronn (dpa) - Lisa Brennauer is German champion in the individual time trial for the fourth time.
The 33-year-old came out on top in Öschelbronn in 40:33 minutes ahead of defending champion Lisa Klein, who was 30.5 seconds behind. Brennauer had already won the national title in the battle against the clock in 2013, 2014 and 2018.
On the challenging 30.5 kilometre course with over 200 metres of climbing, U23 European champion Hannah Ludwig finished third, 1:01 minutes behind the winner. The 107.2 kilometre road race will be held in Stuttgart on Sunday. Brennauer is also considered the top favourite for the title there.
