In the Middle of Lidl-Trek is the name of the new podcast made for cycling fans who are looking for funny stories rather than serious race analyses. Open your ears and listen in.

The first episode has already been released and can be listened to on Spotify, for example. Each episode will feature a mix of race anecdotes from the presenters, fun recurring features and guests from across the peloton - not just Lidl-Trek - to give you unique insights into the men's and women's World Tour.

In view of the success of Lidl-Trek at the this year's Giro d'Italia it's no surprise that the main focus of the first episode is the events in Italy, but podcast hosts Amy and Jacob also talk about a culinary adventure on the team bus at the Vuelta Femenina and what they took away from the centre aisle this month.

The podcast hosts Amy & Jacob

In the first episode, the two podcast hosts introduce themselves. Amy Cameron is a press officer at Team Lidl-Trek and Jacob Kennison is Communications Manager. The two met a few years ago, developed a friendship and have been work colleagues since 2021. We don't want to give too much away, listen to the podcast, either on Spotify or on Apple Podcasts.

We also talk about nutrition and whipped cream on the face, which is tailored to the individual cyclist - the nutrition, not the cream. In addition we recommend our interview with Patrick Konrad.

Sandra Schuberth, sometimes an after-work ride, sometimes a training ride, sometimes an unsupported bikepacking challenge. The main thing is her and her gravel bike - away from the traffic. Seven Serpents, Badlands or Bright Midnight: she has finished challenging bikepacking races. Gravel and bikepacking are her favourite subjects, and her demands on equipment are high. What she rides, uses and recommends has to stand the test of time: not in marketing, but in real life.
