Questions for professional cyclist Lennard Kämna after his ride to second place in the Tour de France.
Question: You just missed out on the yellow jersey. Do you understand why Tadej Pogacar sprinted for seconds at the end?
Lennard Kämna: At the end of the day, it's sport. We don't give each other gifts. We're all fighting for stage wins and the yellow jersey. I don't expect anyone to give me anything. Especially not the yellow jersey. They gave me a lot of minutes. I had my chance. I just didn't take it.
Do you have any hope of getting another chance?
Kämna: I'm now second in the overall standings. I'm not giving up. I will certainly have to fight a bit now, because the day has taken a lot of energy. I will try to hold on for as long as possible.
Will you go on the run again on Wednesday?
Kämna: No way. It took so much effort to get into this group. I have to make sure that I can keep going.
And on Thursday to Alpe d'Huez?
Kämna: That depends. Maybe you could give me 20 minutes. Then I'd have a chance.
