Jan Ullrich & Rick Zabel
Jan Ullrich and Rick Zabel have been making a cycling podcast together since May - now they have made it into the podcast charts. They are the only cycling podcast to make it to 48th place among the most listened to podcasts in Germany.

Rick Zabel is very active on social media and this also colours the classic media: you get the impression that he is more at the centre of attention than when he was active. The combination with Tour winner Jan Ullrich generates a lot of fan interest. With more than half a million downloads and an increase of almost 100 per cent compared to June, "Ulle & Rick" reached 48th place among podcasts in Germany. The top 50 is compiled monthly by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Media-Analyse e.V. (agma). The Tour de France has presumably given the podcast a tailwind - it remains to be seen whether the podcast can stay in the charts.

This is how the makers describe their podcast Ulle&Rick:

"ULLE & RICK by Jan Ullrich and Rick Zabel is the cycling podcast that all listeners realise how much they've missed - until they hear it for the first time. Why? Because nobody can talk about cycling races as amusingly and competently as the two ex-professional athletes. Even listeners who are still unfamiliar with cycling and only tune in when there is a race for yellow in France will get their money's worth. Because Rick and Jan personalise cycling. ULLE & RICK conveys the special drama of cycling and is as fresh as the wind in your face on a descent from the Col du Galibier. Every Thursday, wherever there are podcasts."
