Spectators at the Hessian cycling classic Eschborn-Frankfurt can once again look forward to seeing Germany's top professional cyclists on 1 May.
According to the organisers, local hero John Degenkolb (winner in 2011) and Pascal Ackermann (winner in 2019) will be among those at the start of the 185-kilometre ride through the Taunus and the banking metropolis on Labour Day.
Last year's Belgian winner Jasper Philipsen and four-time winner Alexander Kristoff (Norway) have also confirmed their participation. The German Bora-hansgrohe racing team is sending sprint ace Sam Bennett (Ireland) and Tour de France stage winner Nils Politt to Hesse.
After being cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus and postponed in 2021 due to the coronavirus, the race will take place on 1 May for the first time since 2019.
