Giro d'Italia in Rome
Warner Bros. Discovery will broadcast the Giro d'Italia 2026 on all platforms. Eurosport 1 will show more than 80 hours live on free-to-air TV, while HBO Max and discovery+ will stream all 21 stages in full. The tour starts on 8 May in Bulgaria and ends on 31 May in Rome. Jens Voigt will be reporting directly from the peloton in the first week.

The first Grand Tour of the season starts on 8 May in Bulgaria. Warner Bros. Discovery Sports will follow the race for the pink jersey until the finish in Rome on 31 May. The Giro d'Italia will be broadcast in parallel on free-to-air TV and on streaming platforms.

Giro d'Italia on three platforms

Eurosport 1 is broadcasting more than 80 hours of the 21 stages of the Giro d'Italia live on free-to-air TV. HBO Max and discovery+ show every second of the race live and make the stages available on demand. Karsten Migels comments on the stages, Birgit Hasselbusch does features and reports on the country and its people. During the first week of the race, Jens Voigt rides along on the bike as a reporter and provides impressions directly from the peloton. After each stage, the "Velo Club" analyses the day's events. Presenter Holger Speckhahn welcomes viewers live from the virtual studio in Munich to the 30-minute show. Cycling experts Rolf Aldag, Robert Bengsch and Jens Voigt analyse the decisive scenes in the programme.

HBO Max and discovery+ show accompanying documentaries on cycling. "Paris-Roubaix, Duels in Hell" celebrated its premiere in Europe last Friday. The 102-minute documentary covers the history of the classic and the duel between Tadej Pogacar and Mathieu van der Poel.

"The Cycling Show" is broadcast weekly on Tuesday evenings on Eurosport 1 on free-to-air TV and on streaming platforms. The programme provides insights into the training, tactics, nutrition and equipment of the UCI World Tour teams. "Giro d'Italia: Dreaming in Pink" starts at the end of April with four episodes about the landscape, culture and formative riders of the Tour of Italy.

Eurosport Germany's YouTube channel recorded more than four million video views during the Giro. More than 25 million video starts were added on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The linear TV broadcasts also achieved record figures.
