In the final, Franziska Brauße (Öschelbronn), Lisa Klein (Erfurt), Lisa Brennauer (Durach) and Gudrun Stock (Munich) improved the German record for the third time this season to 4:14.836 minutes, but were beaten in the final by the quartet from the USA led by time trial world champion Chloe Dygert in 4:13.762 minutes.
The men's quartet of Felix Groß (Leipzig), Nils Schomber (Neuss), Theo Reinhardt (Berlin) and Domenic Weinstein (Villingen) improved the German record twice, but lost to Italy (3:51.689) in the small final for bronze in 3:52.685 minutes. Victory went to European champions Denmark (3:50.207).
Pauline Grabosch (Erfurt) and Lea Sophie Friedrich (Dassow) took third place in the women's team sprint. The duo beat the Netherlands (33.238) in the small final in 33.016 seconds. Grabosch, already team sprint world champion in 2018, made a comeback this year after missing out on the World Championships with strong times as a starter. Victory went to Russia (32.945).
