Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has asked for his privacy to be respected following the unwanted publication of his address.

"Your support means a lot to me, but there is a line that should not be crossed," the Ferrari star wrote on Instagram. The 25-year-old stated that he himself did not know how his exact place of residence had become public knowledge.

However, this circumstance is now causing the racing driver major problems. "This has led to people gathering outside my flat, ringing the doorbell and asking for photos and autographs," wrote Leclerc, who urged: "Don't come to my house." He will "always stop when I see you on the street or at the track, but I won't come down when you visit my home," Leclerc added.

The five-time Grand Prix winner from Monaco published his appeal in three languages. More than 10.5 million people follow the former team-mate of former world champion Sebastian Vettel on Instagram alone.
