Even at the age of 41, former road cycling world champion Alejandro Valverde is still good for victories.
The Spaniard, who is in his 21st professional year, won the 170.1 kilometre one-day race from Pollenca to Andratx in Mallorca ahead of the American Brandon McNulty and the Russian Aleksandr Vlasov, who has been riding for the German Bora-hansgrohe team since this season.
Valverde now stands at 132 professional victories and plans to end his career at the end of the year.
