The former British cyclist and five-time Olympic champion Bradley Wiggins has reported sexual harassment in his youth by a coach.
"I was molested by a coach when I was younger," Wiggins (41) told Men's Health magazine. "I was about 13, and I never accepted it. It affected me as an adult. I buried that."
The 2012 Tour de France winner said that he had not been able to talk to his parents about it. "My stepfather was pretty violent towards me," said Wiggins. He had insulted him "because I was wearing spandex and stuff like that. I didn't feel like I could tell him that." He was therefore quite a loner and a "strange teenager", said the ex-pro. "I think my drive on the bike came from that adversity."
