Tadej Pogacar liefert sich bei der Tour ein packendes Duell mit Jonas Vingegaard.
Cycling superstar Tadej Pogacar has shown understanding for doubts about his performance. "We ride fast, we go all in. I understand people who are sceptical about what has happened in the past. Some people can't get over it," said the two-time winner of the Tour of France.
From 1998 to 2009, various doping scandals in cycling made a lot of negative headlines. The second rest day of the 110th Tour de France was scheduled for the pros at the start of the week.
Similar question for Vingegaard
Rival Jonas Vingegaard had been asked a similar question the day before. He also showed understanding for suspicion. "I understand these questions. All I can say is: I'm not taking anything," said the 26-year-old.
With six stages remaining until the end of this year's Tour in Paris, Pogacar is just ten seconds behind defending champion Vingegaard.
