Santini Cycling Wear, official supplier of the Deutschland Tour, has designed and produced the leader's jersey and the other classification jerseys. These are the classification jerseys for this year's tour:
The red jersey for the overall leader
In bright red, one of the core colours of the Deutschland Tour, the overall leader's jersey stands out clearly in the peloton. Once again this year, thousands of fan names are immortalised on the leader's jersey. These fans have contributed their ideas, suggestions and tips to the design of the Deutschland Tour. The collar commemorates the 30th anniversary of the opening of the inner-German border. With the route through the centre of Germany, this year's tour is a tribute to this historic event. All stage locations of this year's Deutschland Tour are named on the sleeve.
Green jersey for the best sprinter
Every day at the Deutschland Tour, there are two sprint classifications and a stage finish for valuable points for the green jersey. Whether you are a sprinter or a classic stage hunter - the list of possible winners of the green jersey is long. As in the grand tours, from the Tour de France to the Vuelta a Espana, the green jersey is also presented by Škoda in the Tour of Germany.
Blue jersey of the best climber
This year, the climber's jersey will be blue and presented by the Deutschland Tour's charity partner, Plan International. Climbing specialists and breakaway riders will battle for the mountain points at nine mountain classifications. The climb in the winter sports resort of Oberhof on the final day leads to an altitude of over 800 metres - the highest point of the Deutschland Tour.
White jersey for the best young rider
The youngest riders in the field compete for the young rider classification of the Deutschland Tour. The best-placed young professional in the overall classification is awarded the white jersey. This classification is presented in a refreshing design by Dauner. The water producer obtains its water from the natural mineral springs of the Volcanic Eifel. The highly mineralised water is ideal for athletes and active people.
Free jersey for all participants in the Jedermann Tour
Participants in the Jedermann Tour, the race for amateur cyclists as part of the Deutschland Tour, can look forward to a cycling experience on the elite route in Erfurt on 1 September. The jersey is included in the entry fee.
Special collection for fans of the Deutschland Tour
Santini has also developed a special merchandising collection for the Deutschland Tour. The design is inspired by the logo colours of the Deutschland Tour and the starting location of this year's Deutschland Tour, Hanover. Cubic patterns are reminiscent of the shapes of the façades in Hanover's historic city centre. In addition to the jersey, the matching trousers, gloves and cap complete the fan outfit.
The merchandising collection and replica versions of the Deutschland Tour classification jerseys will be available at the start of the tour, from 29 August, in cycling shops and on www.santinisms.com available.
