Dan Lorang, currently Director of Coaching & Sports Science at UCI World Team Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, will take on a new role as a coach for Red Bull athletes from all endurance sports from the 2026 season. In this role, the 45-year-old Luxembourger will make his expertise available to a wider range of athletes. Despite this change, Lorang will remain associated with the cycling team and will continue to coach individual Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe riders. This development marks an intensification of the co-operation between Red Bull and the German UCI World Team.
Ralph Denk, CEO of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, emphasises the importance of this synergy: "We use the enormous Red Bull knowledge to make the leap to the top, and vice versa, other units and athletes continue to develop with our expertise. In many endurance areas, cycling is simply the benchmark."
Lorang himself looks back with gratitude on his time at Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe back: "Nine years ago, Ralph Denk gave me the opportunity to work on an incredibly exciting project. During this time, I was able to celebrate many successes with the team, but also experience setbacks together." He is looking forward to the new challenge: "I am all the more pleased to remain associated with the team in the future and at the same time pursue my passion as a coach in the Red Bull world. In this way, I can support not only cyclists, but also athletes from other sports on their path to success."
Dan Lorang has established himself in his career as a coach for endurance sports. His expertise spans various disciplines, with particular success in cycling and triathlon.
