The Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia runs until Tuesday (18 October). Ivan Ramiro Sosa (Movistar) continues to lead the overall standings after the weekend, having taken the lead with his victory on stage 3 in the Genting Highlands last Thursday.
The weekend saw stage wins for Lionel Taminiaux (Alpecin-Decuninck) on Saturday and Erlend Blikra (Uno-X Pro Cycling Team) on Sunday. The 7th stage on Monday was originally supposed to finish on Gunung Raya, but landslides thwarted the organisers' plans. Instead, only 107.1 largely flat kilometres around Kuah were on the programme, at the end of which Sjoerd Bax (Alpecin-Deceuninck) took the day's victory.
There were more medals for the German team at the end of the Track Cycling World Championships. On Saturday Franziska Brauße wins gold medal in the single pursuit. Emma Hinze was successful in the 500 metre individual time trial with a silver medal. In addition, Filippo Ganna set a new record on Saturday. new world record in the 4000 metre single pursuit.

In the Individual time trial at the World Championships Stefan Küng was beaten by Tobias Foss by three seconds four weeks ago in Australia. Ellen van Dijk (Trek-Segafredo) won the women's Chrono des Nations on the 27.2 kilometre course.
After the first UCI Gravel World Championships were held in Veneto on 8 and 9 October, there was another top race in the region at the weekend with the Veneto Classic. After 190 kilometres between Treviso and Bassano del Grappa, Marsch Hirschi (UAE Team Emirates) crossed the finish line in first place. Behind him, his team-mate Davide Formolo finished second. Another rider from this team, Matteo Trentin, made it into the top 5.
After the opening event in Waterloo, the second USA stop of the UCI Cyclocross World Cups in Fayetteville is on the programme.
There was the same winner in the men's and women's races as at the start. In the men's race, the Belgian Eli Iserbyt (Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal) once again came out on top ahead of Laurens Sweeck (Crelan-Fristads).
The women's race was won by Fem van Empel (Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal). This was her second victory in the second World Cup race of the season after her triumph in Waterloo.
