"If a spectator walks more than a metre onto the road and doesn't move when the peloton is coming, they'd better stay at home," the 27-year-old wrote on Twitter at the weekend. "You have no respect for the riders. I hope you feel really guilty. I had to leave the Tour because of you."
Calmejane also fell
Cras crashed a few kilometres before the finish of the eighth stage in Limoges. The reason was not recognisable from the TV images. Cras suffered bruises to his hip and elbow in the fall.
One day later, Lilian Calmajane came to grief. The Frenchman got tangled up in a washing line hanging in front of a camper van at the side of the track. He remained uninjured. Before continuing his ride, Calmajane swore in the direction of the spectators.
