The NSN Cycling Team has signed the Belgian stage race specialist for the next three seasons. Since making his professional debut in 2023, Van Eetvelt has been recognised as a climber with a strong finish. His aggressive riding style has already earned him several victories at WorldTour level.
Lennert Van Eetvelt’s achievements in the 2024 season
Lennert Van Eetvelt celebrated his breakthrough with overall victory in the UAE Tour. On the final stage to Jebel Hafeet, he secured the stage win and, with it, the overall classification. He repeated this success at the Tour of Guangxi. On the decisive fifth stage, he rode to victory and won the tour.
The Belgian also demonstrated his versatility in one-day races. He finished third in the Clásica de San Sebastián. In Il Lombardia, he came seventh. These results highlight his ability to perform well on a variety of course types.

Team manager on the transfer
Kjell Carlström, team manager of the NSN Cycling Team, has been following Lennert Van Eetvelt’s progress over the past few years. “Lennert has proven his ability to win at WorldTour level, particularly in demanding stage races,” explains Carlström. The Belgian’s development is set to continue in the coming seasons.
Carlström highlights the 25-year-old’s racing style. Van Eetvelt seizes opportunities when they arise. He is capable of seeing races through to the finish against strong opposition. The team is planning to enter him in stage races to challenge for the general classification, in the Ardennes classics and in the mountain stages of the Grand Tours.
The driver’s objectives
Lennert Van Eetvelt was looking for an international environment for the next step in his career. “NSN felt like the right choice,” says the Belgian. The three-year collaboration is expected to deliver the desired results.
The rider wants to add to his list of victories. “I want to win more races, whatever they may be,” explains Van Eetvelt. He knows his capabilities and wants to build on them to achieve the best possible track record. Van Eetvelt is confident in his decision and in the path they are taking together towards further victories. These victories are slowly becoming a necessity for the Belgian, as he has been unable to build on his successes from 2024 with further stage race wins. His status as a rising talent is only valid for so long; in one or two years’ time, he will no longer be afforded this protection.
