Who wants a worn jersey and racing shoes from Marianne Vos, Wout van Aert, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot or Victor Campenaerts? A charity auction is currently running on ebay with the original shoes and a signed racing suit up for grabs. The online auction has already started and ends on 20 February. The package consisting of Wout van Aert's signed racing suit and shoes is currently priced at 226 euros

Nimbl and the Fundación Xana are offering cycling fans the opportunity to bid on a jersey worn in a race and professional cycling shoes. The auction includes models that were used in races. Each pair documents the use in competition and becomes a collector's item with a direct link to professional cycling. The auction includes racing jerseys and shoes from Marianne Vos, Wout van Aert, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Victor Campenaerts. Olav Kooij only made one set of shoes and gloves. The riders wore the racing shoes and racing suits in various races. Collectors thus receive equipment that was used in competitions at the highest level.

Charity auction: jersey with signature

The auction is advertised in a press release from shoe manufacturer Nimbl - which is why the focus may be somewhat lost. For many fans, the original cycling jerseys with signatures are more interesting than the shoes. In the case of Wout van Aert, it's an original racing suit from his race at Dwars Door Vlaanderen 2025 - even the race number is still attached. In the case of Victor Campenaerts, the race dress worn by Milan-San Remo 2025 offered. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot's outfit is also from Milan-San Remo 2025 and Marianne Vos has also made her race kit from this competition available. All jerseys still have the race number attached with safety pins - they were not washed after the race. Olav Kooij's auction only includes a pair of cycling gloves as an extra.

Auction on eBay

The auction on eBay is unprofessional: a seller with a new account, zero ratings and a poor description. Neither the shoe size nor the details of the jersey are clear from the accompanying text. At least there are plenty of photos from which the details can be deduced. Interest is therefore still low. There are currently only bids for Wout Van Aert's auction package: 226 euros are currently being offered. All other auctions are still without bids - which could also be due to the high purchase price: the minimum bids are between 350 and 480 euros.

Charity auction for sick children

Fundación Xana supports seriously ill children and young people and their families on an emotional, physical, financial and practical level. The proceeds from the auction fund art therapy sessions and wellness activities. These programmes are designed to promote emotional healing and help families cope with the illness. The online auction is open to interested parties worldwide. Bids can be placed until Friday 20 June. With this campaign, Nimbl and Xana are combining cycling with social responsibility and giving racing equipment a new purpose.
