Bei der Vuelta kam es zu einer Auseinandersetzung zwischen der Polizei und einem Pfleger aus dem Team Jumbo-Visma.
In sporting terms, the Tour of Spain is dominated by the professional cyclists of Jumbo-Visma. However, numerous incidents away from the sport cause a stir.

The chaotic conditions at the Tour of Spain continue to make headlines. After the mountain finish in Puerto de la Cruz de Linares, there was an altercation between the police and a carer from the team of overall leader Sepp Kuss and Tour winner Jonas Vingegaard.

Videos shared on the platform X, formerly Twitter, show how the carer first pushes a police officer and is immediately overpowered and brought down by three officers. The police then took the man away.

There had already been a similar incident at the end of the eleventh stage. A Cofidis team ranger was rudely overpowered by a policeman as he cheered on his rider Jesus Herrada, who was on the verge of winning the stage. In the end, the orderly was allowed to join Herrada as soon as he crossed the finish line.

This year's Vuelta caused a stir away from the sport in several instances. In the opening time trial, the last teams had to start in the dark on a wet road, which led to crashes. After his victory on the third stage, cycling star Remco Evenepoel collided with a woman behind the finish line and suffered a laceration to his head. On the same stage, the police prevented an act of sabotage when four men tried to pour around 400 litres of oil onto the road. On the seventh stage, the police arrested a man who had tried to cause "an accident in the final stage".
