Das Team Lotto-Dstny hatte vor der Tour seinen Sportchef ausgeschlossen.
The sports director of the cycling team Lotto-Dstny, Allan Davis, who was excluded from the Tour de France, has apologised for sending inappropriate photos.

The Australian had exchanged personal messages with a Twitter user and subsequently sent an unsolicited photo of himself with his upper body exposed. The user published the conversation, as a result of which Davis was cancelled by his team three days before the start of the Tour.

"We have talked about relationships, family and work and I understand that some of my words and actions were inappropriate. I did not consider the consequences of my behaviour, for which I apologise," Davis said in a statement released recently.

The woman, who describes herself as an author, originally thought Davis had contacted her about a job. He had asked about her CV before moving on to more private matters. The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Cyclingnews that she had tried several times to steer the conversation in a professional direction.
