Berlin (dpa) - German professional cyclists Pascal Ackermann and Michael Schwarzmann have been infected with the coronavirus.

As the German racing team Bora-hansgrohe announced, both had shown slight symptoms of a cold, so that PCR tests were carried out on them at short notice. These then turned out positive. Both are now in home isolation.

As a result, Ackermann (27) and Schwarzmann (30) will miss the upcoming one-day races Paris-Bourges and Paris-Tour in France. The Pole Maciej Bodnar (36) has been nominated as a replacement for both races. The team from Raubling will only have six riders at the start.
