A.S.O. buys "Eschborn-Frankfurt" - Tour de France organiser takes over traditional Frankfurt race

The traditional Frankfurt race was founded in 1962 as the "Rund um den Henninger-Turm" by Hermann and Erwin Moos. For organisational reasons, the brothers founded the Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Radsports mbh, which was and still is the official organiser of the cycle race on 1 May. For the past 15 years, the classic race has been organised by Bernd Moos-Achenbach and his team.

It has been agreed that Bernd Moos-Achenbach and his team will continue to organise the cycling classic on 1 May. A.S.O. will support the Frankfurt team in the planning and realisation of the event and will be a helpful partner in technical and sporting matters.

For A.S.O., the takeover represents a further step in its commitment to German cycling. The awarding of the Grand Départ of the Tour de France to Düsseldorf in July 2017 and the revitalisation of the Tour of Germany under the brand "Deutschland. Deine Tour." brand from August 2018 show A.S.O.'s interest in the German market.
