The team in the pink jerseys is one of those capable of shaping and determining the outcome of a race
A pink surprise package: The EF Education-Easypost team is one of the established sides on the World Tour, but it also continues to surprise with interesting new riders and special initiatives.

With their pink jerseys, the team often looks like an exotic splash of colour in the peloton, but they have been competing in the top tier of cycling since 2009 and are therefore considered one of the established teams. Ben Healy and his team-mates proved last year that the US squad is one of the teams with the freedom to shape the race. The 25-year-old Irishman wore the yellow jersey on two occasions, secured a stage victory and will be back in the line-up in 2026. Given his climbing ability, he could well move up the rankings even further after finishing ninth in the general classification last year. Whether he can count on much support from his team-mates, however, is questionable – apart from Healy, the team is primarily focused on stage wins. Kasper Asgreen is already scheduled to ride the Tour de France and is the team’s best hope for a breakaway victory.

As a student of German and political science, the flawless amateur sportsman once decided to try his luck as a journalist. His passion for racing bikes led him straight to the TOUR editorial team as an intern, which has since become an affair of the heart that has lasted more than 30 years, 16 of them as editor-in-chief. As a - in his own words - "generalist in the cycling niche", he is interested in all topics relating to road bikes (and gravel bikes) and is still particularly enthusiastic about racing today. Highlights of his own career as a racing cyclist include taking part in the TOUR-Transalp, the odd everyman race and regular Alpine tours with friends.
