Villard-de-Lans (dpa) - The 107th Tour de France will see a big showdown between the favourites on Wednesday's queen stage. At the end of the 170-kilometre stage, which starts in Grenoble, there is a climb to the 2304-metre-high Col de la Loze.

The climb of the highest category has an average gradient of 7.8 per cent over 21.5 kilometres and forms the roof of the Tour. On the way to the mountain finish, however, the Col de la Madeleine, also a 2000 metre climb of the highest category, has to be tackled first. On this stage, the favourites around the two Slovenian top stars Primoz Roglic and Tadej Pogacar are likely to decide the victory among themselves.
