Die 15. Etappe der Tour de France 2022 führt über 202,5 Kilometer von Rodez nach Carcassonne.
Mark Cavendish will probably be sitting sadly on the sofa on Sunday. The Briton equalled Eddy Merckx's record last year in Carcassonne with his 34th Tour stage win and wanted to overtake him this year.
However, Cavendish has not been nominated for the 109th Tour de France, which rolls over 202.5 kilometres from Rodez to Carcassonne on the 15th stage. The biggest factor in the battle for the stage win is likely to be the weather. Temperatures of 39 degrees are forecast for the finish. There is only a light wind blowing from the north-north-west, which will hardly cool things down.
