Radelt erneut für einen guten Zweck: Lachlan Morton.

With his non-stop 1000 kilometre ride, professional cyclist Lachlan Morton has exceeded his fundraising target for Ukrainian war victims four times over.

The Australian's donation account stood at 211,000 dollars on Monday afternoon, well above his self-imposed target of 50,000 dollars. His team sponsors supported the cycling adventurer's trip with an additional 100,000 dollars. Morton set off from Munich at 5.00 a.m. on Saturday morning and reached the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing Korczowa-Krakowez on Monday night after around 42 hours and 1063 kilometres.

At the time of the start of the war, the 30-year-old was preparing for a race with his Ukrainian team-mate Mark Padun. This is not the cycling enthusiast's first charity tour. Last summer, he rode the Tour de France alone and unassisted, as well as all the transfers between stages. Morton was faster than the field for several days and collected over 500,000 dollars in donations for a charity organisation that donates bicycles for children.
