The second most important cycling tour in the world ends with an individual time trial over 17.1 kilometres in Verona's amphitheatre. The city is hosting the Giro finale for the fifth time, most recently in 2019 when Richard Carapaz (Ecuador) won the overall title.
The start of the 3410.3-kilometre tour will take place on 7 May in Budapest. The organisers had already announced this last week. A total of three stages will be held in Hungary. The overall victory is likely to be decided on the six stages in the high mountains.
