Der Radsport-Weltverband UCI hat Fahrerinnen mit Transidentität die Teilnahme an Rennen der Frauen verboten.
The Cycling World Federation has banned transgender riders from taking part in women's races.

"From now on, transgender athletes who have transitioned after (male) puberty are prohibited from participating in women's competitions on the UCI international calendar - in all categories - in the various disciplines," the UCI announced.

New rules adopted at extraordinary meeting

The management committee of the governing body decided on the new rules at an extraordinary meeting last week. This was preceded by a dialogue with affected athletes, scientists and interest groups, among others. Trans people are people who do not feel they belong to the gender they were assigned at birth.

At UCI events, the "men's" category will be renamed "men's/open" according to the announcement. "Athletes who do not fulfil the conditions for participation in women's competitions will be admitted without restriction," the UCI announced. In May, the British Cycling Federation had already banned trans women from participating in women-only competitions.
