Stefan Bötticher ist weiter Dritter in der UCI Track Champions League.
Track cyclist Stefan Bötticher defended his third place in the overall standings at the third of five rounds of the UCI Track Champions League.

However, the rider from Chemnitz lost ground to the two top riders Harrie Lavreysen from the Netherlands and Matthew Richardson from Australia.

Bötticher with 86 points before the final

Böttcher finished third in the sprint and fourth in the keirin on the World Championship track in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines near Paris. He has 86 points ahead of next weekend's final in London. Lavreysen is two points ahead of Richardson with 111 points.

Lea Lin Teutenberg from Cologne crashed in the women's scratch race. "Nothing is broken, but I have a headache," said the fourth-placed rider at the World Championships, who did not compete in the elimination race afterwards and is in 15th place overall. Pauline Grabosch from Cottbus, who finished 14th overall in the women's sprint, and eighth-placed Moritz Malcharek from Berlin in the endurance event were unable to make any impact on the 2024 Olympic track.
