In the summer, Geschke had been Tour de France caused a sensation when he wore the mountain king's polka dot jersey for nine days. Shortly before Paris, however, he had to surrender the lead to Tour champion Jonas Vingegaard.
"I want to continue my career until 2024. I really enjoy my role in the team. As in previous years, I enjoy my role as a team-mate, supporting the captain and, if I feel in good form, looking for my own chance," said Geschke.
Born in Berlin, he has been riding for Cofidis since 2021. Geschke celebrated his greatest success in 2015 with the Tour stage win in Pra-Loup.
