Die Internationale Test-Agentur erhält vom Radsport mehr Geld für Anti-Doping-Maßnahmen.
The International Testing Agency will have considerably more money available for the anti-doping programme in road cycling from 2023 onwards.

The ITA has announced that funding will be increased by 35 per cent over the next two years. The UCI and other organisations have agreed to this.

The focal points of the anti-doping programme

The focus will be on expanding capacities in the areas of intelligence and investigations, testing, science, data analysis, long-term sample storage and re-analysis of samples, it said. According to the ITA, the UCI's anti-doping programme is one of the most comprehensive in the world.

The financial increase will take place gradually. An additional 1.5 million euros are planned for 2023 and a further 2.4 million euros for 2024. "At the end of this two-year cycle, the annual operational budget for the fight against doping in cycling will have grown to a total of around ten million euros," it continued.
