After playing the majority of the 2022 season in the classic colours of blue and white, Israel-Premier Tech has now undergone a radical change. Although the two basic colours are still represented on the new outfit, they are mixed up with bright colours that blend seamlessly into one another. The team was already at the start of the 2022 Tour de France with a similarly designed kit. The "Racing for Change" outfit was to draw attention to a fundraising campaign for the construction of a new bicycle centre in Rwanda.
Manager Kjell Carlström explains the idea behind the new kit. "We wanted to do something different. Our jersey at the Tour de France was a great success and, in our opinion, one of the best jerseys in the peloton in recent years. So we thought, why not do something different for the whole season? Blue and white, the Israeli colours, are the core of our identity. But as we saw in 2022, there was a lot of blue and white in the peloton. So we wanted to bring in a bit more colour and create a fresh and modern look that stands out on the bike. Especially on the back of the jersey, where we've replaced the team logo with the monogram of our star and the P of Premier Tech so that we're easily recognisable on TV. That's our goal for 2023: to stand out in the peloton in terms of our jersey design and the way we race."
Israel-Premier Tech, where Rick Zabel is also under contract, has been relegated from the World Tour and thus no longer belongs to the premier league of cycling, despite big stars like Chris Froome or Jakob Fuglsang.
The manufacturer of the new clothing is Ekoï, which has entered into a three-year partnership with the team. The French company equips Israel-Premier Tech with clothing, helmets and goggles. In 2022, the team received its clothing from Jinga.
