Peter Sagan has won the Road World Championships three times and the Tour de France sprint classification seven times. Now the Slovakian cycling legend has found a new challenge on the dance floor.

Peter Sagan is the only rider to have won the Road World Championship title three times in a row. He is rightly regarded as one of the legends of cycling. He was still racing until 2024 and wanted to take off on his mountain bike at the Olympic Games in Paris. Health problems prevented him from doing so, however. Now Sagan has a new challenge ahead of him. He will lace up his dancing shoes for the Slovakian edition of "Let's Dance".

Literally translated, the Instagram post reads:

"Eliska really surprised me. She is a very nice girl. She has a lot of positive energy. She is nice and laughs a lot, so we have a lot of fun during training. I would also like to thank [Pepe Majeský; creative producer and director of Let's Dance, editor's note] for choosing this dance partner for me, because it's great to train with her and she has my trust. She knows what she's doing because she's been dancing since she was a child. After the first week, she has already made great progress with me, which I am very happy about. So we'll see how I get on. I will do my best and I am happy that Eliška is my dance partner," says Sagan. Eliška is also looking forward to working with Peter: "I am very happy that Peter Sagan will be my dance partner this year. I've already had the opportunity to get to know Peter a little and I'm sure he'll give it his all. I think he will be good at it and that he will enjoy dancing."

It will be interesting to see whether Peter Sagan will be as successful as he has been in cycling over the years.
