The riding position is still moderate and can still be varied with an angle-adjustable stem; the carbon seatpost is noticeably well sprung thanks to its long extension. The grippy handlebar tape sits comfortably in the hands, the narrow saddle is comparatively hard, but well shaped and not uncomfortable. The long wheelbase of 1,015 millimetres and the heavy wheels guarantee a smooth ride and reassuring directional stability, but conversely the rather heavy bike is not particularly agile. However, with a 34/32 ratio in first gear, no climb is too steep for the Z5. The biggest drawback is the Tektro brakes, which require comparatively high manual force, mainly due to their weak pads.
CONCLUSION Good carbon frame with heavy equipment. Still a sporty riding position, but plenty of suspension comfort
