With the Infinito, Bianchi presents a new marathon bike with classic virtues and a comparatively low price. Compared to the competition, the riding position is sporty and the tyre clearance is low. The three equipment variants are available from 2549 euros.

The new model expands the endurance segment of the traditional Italian manufacturer, which will have three long-distance platforms in its range in future. The Infinito is based on the top model Infinito CV and comes with identical frame geometry. Unlike comparable Marathon bikes The STR ratio for a medium frame size is 1.49. Bianchi did not provide any information on the frame or complete bike weight.

Bianchi Infinito: The most important facts

  • Weight of complete wheel: not specified
  • Stack/Reach/STR: 569/381 millimetres/1.49 (size 55)
  • Maximum tyre clearance: 32 millimetres
  • Frame sizes: 47, 50, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61
  • Prices: 2549, 3349 and 5199 euros (excluding VAT)

Compared to the spectacular competition bikes Oltre RC and Specialissima RC you will look in vain for unique selling points on the Infinito. Friends of classic racing bikes will be delighted. The novelty is the first marathon bike from Treviglio with integrated cables: on the top model, the brake cables are routed through the handlebar/stem combination; on the other equipment variants, they are routed under the handlebars like the shift cables and into the head tube under the stem.

Bianchi goes its own way when it comes to tyre clearance, leaving a maximum of 32 millimetres. Comparable marathon bikes now offer significantly more space and, as so-called Allroad bike the boundary to the gravel bike disappears. As a result, the Infinito's area of use is smaller and is increasingly on the road. The suspension comfort is also limited as a result.

Equipment and prices

The big plus points of the Italo racer are the comparatively low prices in the traditional manufacturer's high-price range and the variety of sizes (47 to 61). The cheapest model with mechanical 105 and robust aluminium wheels is available for 2549 euros, the top model with electronic Ultegra and carbon wheels costs 5199 euros. Handlebars, stem and seat post are made of aluminium on all variants.
