Cervélo Caledonia 2026 presented: Endurance road bike from the top brand from 2999 euros

Cervélo presents the Caledonia for the 2026 model year. The endurance road bike offers space for 36 mm tyres (or 34 mm tyres with mudguards) and integrates the cables into the cockpit for easy maintenance. Four model variants start at 2999 euros.

According to Cervélo, the new Caledonia is aimed at newcomers to road cycling, year-round cyclists and Gran Fondo participants. The Canadian brand is positioning the bike as a more attractively priced alternative to the more expensive Caledonia-5 with identical alignment, similar weight and comparable riding characteristics. The affordable Caledonia also offers hidden threaded mounts for mudguards. In return, you have to do without the integrated storage compartment in the down tube, and the affordable Caledonia comes with a classic round seat post instead of the carbon post with the D-shaped cross-section, which is supposed to provide more comfort and better aerodynamics on the Caledonia-5. Except for the Entry-level model for 2999 euros All Caledonias are equipped with a carbon seat post.

Framework and integration

The frame of the new marathon racer is said to be around 50 grams lighter than its predecessor. A new feature is the D-shaped steerer tube, which allows the brake lines to be integrated into the head tube. Various handlebars and stems from the Cervélo cockpit system can be used, including fully integrated handlebar units. Alternatively, integrated cable routing works with the standard stem with clamped handlebars, on the underside of which the cables are routed into the steering bearing. The standardised 1-1/8-inch interface also makes the system compatible with aftermarket options from other manufacturers. Thanks to two-part spacers, the stem or handlebars can be changed without having to disconnect and bleed the brakes.

Geometry and driving behaviour

The geometry largely corresponds to the current Caledonia-5. The reach in size M is 387 mm, the stack 580 mm, which means that the bike is still comparatively sporty by endurance standards with a stack-to-reach ratio of 1.50. The fork travel has been adjusted by a mere millimetre to optimise handling on the 32 mm tyres fitted as standard. The previous Caledonia was delivered with 30-millimetre tyres. A maximum of 36 millimetre wide tyres fit in the frame and fork; with mudguards fitted, the dimension is reduced to 34 millimetres.

Models and prices

The Caledonia 105 with mechanical Shimano 105 gears and Vision Team i23 J-Bend wheels costs 2999 euros. The Caledonia 105 Di2 and the Caledonia Rival AXS with electronic shifting and carbon seatpost cost 3999 euros each. All three variants use Vision Team i23 SP wheels. The Top model Caledonia Force AXS for 6499 euros combines SRAM Force AXS with Reserve 40|44 4LD carbon wheels. Each variant is available in a choice of two colours: a deep blue called Nightshift or a shade of brown called Mocha.
