Lorena Wiebes shows it - fifth stage win in the six stages of the Simac Ladies Tour 2025
Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx-Protime) underlined her dominance with an impressive five stage wins at the Simac Ladies Tour 2025. After her victories in the first four stages and the final victory, Wiebes finished the tour as the sovereign overall winner.

Lorena Wiebes put on an impressive show of strength at the Simac Ladies Tour 2025. The Dutch sprint specialist from Team SD Worx-Protime secured her fifth stage win on the sixth and final stage, crowning an almost perfect week with overall victory. It was Wiebes' second overall victory in the Simac Ladies Tour after her first triumph in 2022.

Dominance over the entire tour

Lorena Wiebes' performance at this year's Simac Ladies Tour was remarkable. The 26-year-old Dutchwoman won the first four stages in a row. After the fifth stage, an individual time trial won by Brit Zoe Bäckstedt, she crowned her performance with victory in the final stage. In the overall standings, Wiebes came out on top ahead of Elisa Balsamo and the American Megan Jastrab from Team Picnic PostNL.

Wiebes' dominance at the Simac Ladies Tour is part of an impressive season for the Dutchwoman. She had already won two stages at the Tour de France Femmes in July and was the fastest sprinter in the duel with Marianne Vos. She was also successful twice at the Giro d'Italia Women in July. "This is a remarkable achievement by our team. We'll definitely have a glass of champagne to celebrate," said Wiebes, delighted with the successful conclusion to the tour.

The Simac Ladies Tour has once again shown that Lorena Wiebes is currently the dominant force in women's cycling when it comes to bunch sprints. With her explosiveness and the perfect support from her team SD Worx-Protime, she seems to be almost unbeatable at the moment.

On the podium of the Simac Ladies Tour 2025, she relegated the Italian Elisa Balsamo (Lidl - Trek) and Megan Jastrap from the USA (Team Picnic PostNL), who were far from unknown names, to the places behind her. Now Wiebes has to savour her victory and prepare for the upcoming races.
