Verenti, the own brand of the British mail order company Wiggle, takes part in the TOUR test for the first time. The carbon frame, attractively painted in mother-of-pearl with internal cables, is impressively stiff and acceptably light. Brakes and gears come from the new Ultegra groupset, while Rotor supplies the cranks and chainrings. As the chain line deviates slightly from the Shimano specifications, the three smallest sprockets cannot be used from the 36 t chainring - not a major problem as these gears are rarely used in practice. Simple Fulcrum wheels are fitted with good 25-millimetre Conti tyres, and components from Ridley's own 4ZA brand look high quality. However, at the highest price in the test group, the Revelation is not a bargain, as you would expect from a mail order company.
