Is the "healthy hardness" of an unsprung road bike actually the last word in comfort? Or wouldn't it be nice to be able to glide over the rough tarmac with soft suspension?

The Trek Domane and Specialized Roubaix are considered competition bikes, but their real domain is sporty touring and long distances. With innovative, effective minimal suspension, they are further proof that marathon racers are increasingly emancipating themselves from the classic competition racing bike.
