Since 2006, the Addict has stood for extreme lightweight construction; the first generation was considered the lightest series frame on the market at the time. Weight is also a key issue for the current model.

The bike, which is fitted with standard components throughout, weighs just six kilos. Even with pedals and bottle cages, there is still a considerable gap to the minimum weight of 6.8 kilos prescribed by the UCI for competition bikes. Formally, the frame looks rather simple; the contrast between matt and glossy black surfaces immediately catches the eye, while the aero profiles on the down tube, seat tube and seat stays only catch the eye at second glance. The bike is a revelation for mountain specialists, and the lightweight wheels contribute to good acceleration. Sprinters might be bothered by the slightly below-average bottom bracket stiffness, but this is not serious. The only downer is the price, which is difficult to understand.

CONCLUSION Extremely light, very comfortable, stiffness values just below average. Excessive price
