Time Skylon
The French carbon specialist does many things differently to its competitors. All frames and forks are produced in the Time factory near Lyon.

The carbon fabrics are produced on the company's own machines and the resin is injected into the moulds during the production process. For a long time, Time frames had a reputation for being less stable but more comfortable. The Skylon disproves this preconception. The frame is extremely stiff in the bottom bracket and steering head, but also unyielding on the saddle thanks to the aero seatpost. Aerodynamically, the shape is good, although the frame only fulfils its potential to a limited extent with the Mavic wheels. In a comparative measurement with 404 wheels, the bike came close to the fast aero models from TOUR 1/2016 and was therefore the fastest in this comparison group. The price for the frameset (€ 3,695) is steep, but Ultegra components keep the whole thing reasonably in check.

CONCLUSION Customised frame with aero potential. Position suitable for long distances. Very stiff, but very expensive frameset
