Even in its fourth model year, the Giant Propel still manages the balancing act between good aero performance and top riding characteristics.

It is worth noting that the wind tunnel result is already convincing with the own-brand wheels. Tuning with even faster wheels brings only a small advantage. Service-friendly V-brakes from TRP, positioned in the slipstream of the fork and seat stays, allow space for tyres up to 25 millimetres wide following a revision last year and impress with high braking power and very good modulation. Apart from the brakes, the Propel is equipped with the complete Dura-Ace Di2 including Sprinter shifters, leaving nothing to be desired. Functionally convincing are add-on parts such as the comfortable saddle and the aerodynamic handlebar stem unit, which however limits adjustability and makes transport more difficult.

CONCLUSION Fast, technically mature, superbly equipped. The only weakness is the moderate spring comfort
