Test 2016 1000 Euro road bikes: Bergamont Prime 6.0
As the heaviest bike in the test, Bergamont's € 999 racer was initially criticised. For some riders, however, the configuration could pay off in terms of stability and durability.

The classic 32-spoke wheels are now rarely seen on racing bikes, but they are very stable and can be repaired easily and cheaply if necessary. Coupled with the stiff frame, on which the rider sits relatively upright, the bike is also a recommendation for very heavy riders. The rest of the equipment is standard for the class with a well-functioning Tiagra groupset, robust 25-millimetre training tyres and fairly simple add-on parts that didn't cause any problems. It's a pity that the frame is only available in five rather coarsely graded sizes. If you're less well-trained but still want to ride longer climbs, you might want to consider buying a suitable sprocket set.

CONCLUSION Very heavy, but consistently robustly built bike with a comfortable design. Unfortunately only five sizes
