The fact that this bike was developed for the requirements of racing cyclists is also immediately apparent when you take a seat on the saddle. The streamlined frame forces the rider into a low-slung riding position. Fairings on the Mavic wheels smooth the transition between tyre and rim - which is prohibited in UCI races. The high-profile aluminium rims are somewhat heavier than comparable full carbon models, but are fully suitable for everyday use. The integration of the electric Di2 drivetrain is exemplary. The Di2 distributor box disappears almost invisibly into the handlebar stem unit, while the battery is located in the down tube. A thoroughbred racing machine that tempts - or forces, as the case may be - you to ride fast all the time. This is particularly true of the Katjuscha team's fiery red pro-look version.
